It has been a funny old winter , this winter of 2014-2015.  More snow than I have seen in years, a long stretch of bitter cold and now in late March, the biggest snow flakes I have ever seen on a day when the forecast called for rain.  What next?

Ya gotta wonder....

Today I saw a sign on a fitness centre, that was advertising fast food.  I guess by partnering with a place that provided lots of calories, the fitness centre is ensuring that a lot of people will need their services.  I consider this to be the same as a dentist giving out candy for Halloween.

I love road trips

I love road trips - I don't care where I am going or how long the trip takes so long as it is on the highways and byways where I can observe the world and the people in it.  Driving time is my thinking time.  I like to go for a long road trip whenver something is bothering me.  Being alone and concentrating on the task in hand helps me get my thoughts in order.  Obviously there is not much time for thinking when vehicles of all sizes are zooming by on the freeway.  Hence the preference for roads less travelled.
